Coaching AYSO is a privilege and can be a rewarding experience for you and the players. Remember it’s about fun and learning the game of soccer. Years from now, will YOU be the coach one of these kids remembers?
AYSO’s coach training program is accredited by the The National Council for Accreditation of Coaching Education (NCACE).

- All coaches must submit a one-time fingerprint scan (download the form).
- All coaches must pass a yearly background check with Sterling (you'll get an email once you signup)
- All coaches must attend coach orientation on Aug 18
- All coaches must complete an age specific AYSO certified training - see training schedule below.
- All coaches must complete online training:
- One-time online coach training for U6, U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 (additional in-person training is also required, see training schedule below)
- Concussion Awareness (every other year)
- Heart attack awareness (every other year)
- Safe Haven certification (every other year)
- Safesport (one time, and transferable between sports organization)
Coach Training Schedule - 2023
Coach Training (Provided by Challenger Sports)- Sunday, June 25 @ Riverview Pavilion
- 6U/7U/8U/10U morning 8:30am - 12:00pm
- 12U/14U afternoon 12:30pm - 3:30pm

Accident Reporting
If a player or registered adult volunteer (such as a Coach or Referee) becomes injured during a scheduled practice, game or training, the injury must be reported immediately to the Safety Director, [email protected]. To report the accident, please use the Incident Report Form.
